Members of Terrell County History Museum Committee announce a Quilt Show to be held Saturday, January 22 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 23 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the museum room located in the back of Terrell County Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is located at the cornr of West Lee Street and Hwy 520. Admission if free for the show, but donations will be accepted. The Museum, chaired by Kathy Hicks,  is a project of  Terrell County Historic Preservation Society.

 "The quilts, shared by those who are exhibiting in the show are significant labors of love,” states Anne Newman, chairman of the Quilt Show. Citizens who are sharing these beautiful quilts are invited to not only share the quilts but come share time at the Quilt Show and visit with those who will

attend. Several interesting demonstrations will be taking place during the two day show.

 

 

 

 

 

A quilt, donated by Jean Lark, will be raffled at 4:00 p.m. Sunday during the Quilt Show. This beautiful red, white and blue quilt was originally pieced by Margaret Barfield Brooks, a native of the Graves Community and daughter of Lily and Leonard Barfield. The donated quilt, not quite completed, was completed by Stella Alligood.  Raffle tickets may be obtained from Nell Parris, Betty Carlson, Linda Hanner, Mrs. Newman, Mrs. Lark or Mrs. Hicks.
