2009 Progressive Dinner

Mama Christmas visits Progressive Dinner. The Annual Progressive Dinner was held on December 4, 2009 . The Hors d'oeuvres were served at the home of Ronnie and Nancy Lee, the entree was serves at the Bronwood Baptist Church, and Dessert was served at the cabin of  Lon and Lynn Trice. The Entree was catered by Classy Carmels of Bronwood.

Membership Drive

The new year is here and it is time for all of us to renew our membership in the Terrell County Historic Preservation Society To renew you TCHPS membership, please complete the enclosed form and send it with your remittance to TCHPS,  P O Box 63, Dawson, GA 39842. New members are always welcomed. There is probably someone you know who could add ideas and hands to TCHPS. Lets find them!

2010 Tour of Homes

Preparations have begun for the 2010 Tour of Homes. We n eed homes for this years tour, so please call Ann Duskin (995-4593) or Frances Jordan (995-2449) if you wish your home to be on tour. Your participation is the only way that the tour can ever be a success. So, call us soon......

 

Museum Project

The TCHPS Museum Committee will meet January 7, 2010 at 9:30 aM at the Terrell County Chamber of Commerce. This meeting is planned to establish a wriiten plan for the Museum. Interested persons are asked to attend and help us plan for the establishment of this museum. If you have questions, call Kathy Hicks (995-2866).

Lost Cemeteries

We are looking for the location of a few cemeteries of Terrell County. If you can help us, please call Bill Jordan at 995-2449. The cemeteries are: Gammage Family Cemetery, Jenkins Family Cemetery, Kaigler Family Cemetery, Killen Cemetery (Bronwood), Martin Cem,etery (Bronwood), and the Simmons Cemetery. These cemeteries are listed in the Terrell County History book, but locations are not recorded.
