Southpoint Lodge

Betty Wise Road, Bronwood

This lodge was built in 1997 by Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Crawford .  It is constructed of timbers from the Crawford’s farm (#58).  The interior tongue and groove walls and ceilings are made from pine grown on the farm, and the brick used in the fireplace for the firebox and hearth came from an old Bronwood home.  The sixteen foot dining table and the bar were built from hand-hewn boards more than 160 years old.  They came from a wall in the family homestead.  The lodge is used as lodging quarters during quail hunting season.
