This Plantation-Plain style home was built in 1912 for Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Cheney and the property has remained in the Cheney family since then.

            Charles and Jo Ann Deese continued the tradition in 1991.  As grandson of the home’s builder, Charles has balanced renovation with restoration.  The original tongue and groove ceiling, wainscoting, nine fireplaces and mantels, and many pieces of furniture are still in place.
