The Dawson Methodist Church traces its history back to 1892 and a one-room log cabin. The present sanctuary was constructed in 1892 by the Dawson Variety Manufacturing Company at a cost of $15,000.

            In the late 1940’s the sanctuary was remodeled. Beautiful stained-glass windows, depicting the life of Christ, were installed.
