This was originally a Victorian style home, with a large porch and decorative columns, when it was constructed circa 1890. In 1935 it was transformed into a Federal style home by removing the large front porch and adding a smaller side porch. The parlor became a paneled library. Two bedrooms were combined to create the formal drawing room.

            Dr. and Mrs. Salter purchased the home in 1972. They glassed in the side porch and combined the kitchen and breakfast room.
